Summary

The research associate position will include a range of responsibilities. Examples of programs that the researcher may be involved with are: Collecting, by phone and internet, the primary and general election dates of when official candidate lists will become available from each state’s election office; Entering election lists into Project Vote Smart’s candidate database; Conducting research to define and defend the questions selected by Project Vote Smart to appear on its Political Courage Test; Processing incoming Political Courage Tests; Communicating with candidates for public office; Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

We are seeking applicants with a strong background in Political Science, experience in researching political issues, and a solid knowledge of current events. The applicant must be detail-oriented, have strong written and oral communication skills, and be dedicated to the Project's mission of voter education and candidate accountability.
