Senator Mark R. Warner repeatedly refused to provide any responses to citizens on the issues through the 2008 Political Courage Test when asked to do so by national leaders of the political parties, prominent members of the media, Project Vote Smart President Richard Kimball, and Project Vote Smart staff. What is the Political Courage Test? This candidate has responded to a different Political Courage Test. As a husband and father of three young daughters, I would support the following: the v-chip, school uniforms, juvenile curfews, campaign finance reform, efforts to strengthen the family, and a tough and responsive justice system to ensure that criminals will be punished.

1) Explain your two main legislative priorities if elected to Congress.
We must prepare our children for the jobs of the future and the opportunities created by new technologies. Instead of cutting Head Start and student loans, the federal government should help local school districts invest in safe, modern schools connected to the Information Superhighway. Additional funding, if necessary, can come from partnership with the private sector and the sale of broadcast spectrum. I also believe that we must make balancing our budget a top priority.
