Immigrant Public Assistance Amendment

Vote to adopt an amendment that deletes a provision of the bill which prohibits undocumented immigrants from receiving public assistance.
Official Title of Legislation:
H Amdt 968 to HR 2202: An amendment to strike provisions in the bill which bar U.S. citizens from receiving certain benefits through individuals that are undocumented immigrants, or legal permanent residents of less than seven years. The amendment restores current law which permits such individuals to file for benefits on behalf of eligible dependents.
