Carrying Concealed Firearms

Project Vote Smart's Synopsis: Vote to pass an amendment allowing individuals who have conceal and carry permits in their home state to carry concealed firearms across state lines.
NOTE: THIS LEGISLATION NEEDED A THREE-FIFTHS MAJORITY VOTE TO PASS.
Official Title of Legislation: S Amdt 1618 to S 1390: To amend chapter 44 of title 18, United States Code, to allow citizens who have concealed carry permits from the State in which they reside to carry concealed firearms in another State that grants concealed carry permits, if the individual complies with the laws of the State.
Highlights: -Prohibits individuals from carrying concealed firearms into a state that does not legally allow its residents to conceal and carry firearms.
