Project Vote Smart's Synopsis: Vote to adopt an amendment that states the funds in HR 3093 will not be used by the Department of Justice to prevent the states of Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington from implementing their state laws regarding the distribution, possession, and cultivation of medical marijuana.
Official Title of Legislation: H Amdt 674 to HR 3093: An amendment to prohibit the use of funds made available in this Act to the Department of Justice may be used, with respect to certain states, to prevent such States from implementing their own State laws that authorize the use, distribution, possession, or cultivation of medical marijuana.
