The House of Representatives cast the first floor vote on a health care bill, passing HR 3962 by a vote of 220-215, which includes a "public option." There were also two main amendments, H Amdt 509 which prohibits federal funding for any abortion services covered by the bill and H Amdt 510 which was a substitute of various parts of the bill put forward by Republicans. H Amdt 509 passed 240-194 while H Amdt 510 failed 176-258.

We firmly believe that it is a citizens right to know where candidates for public office stand on the issues.
On November 3rd, voters decided on 26 ballot measures, divided among 6 states: Maine, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, and Washington.
